Holiday Times, and Past Reflections

First and foremost, Happy Holidays!

Ok, now that that's out of the way, Hello!

Its been a while since I've updated this site, and I thought why not now, why not this exact moment. What could I possibly be doing instead... other than the fact that I'm in class, lol. Well, I had a good holiday. My brother and sister visited me from Texas, and I enjoyed their company, despite the fact that I worked everyday they were here! 6-8 hour shifts no less! So it was a bit disheartening to only spend a fraction of the day with them, but that small amount was great in and of itself. Maria also visited from her little middle of nowhere college/town of Purchase. lol. It was nice to see her bond with my family in a way that none of my friends ever have. She's a true friend.

Lately I've been thinking about what I have done in the city and how my life has changed, this is partly because of the fact that my family visited; it was like a pop-up of my former life, and I felt juxtaposed next to them. It wasn't a bad thing, but I can notice the subtle changes that I've gone through. It was nice in fact, to see that I had grown, not in height, but in emotion, character, knowledge, etc.

Some of my little thoughts linger in photos, such as visiting maria at Purchase, having a photo-scavenger hunt with Megan Gough, the tremendous amount of work from my stop motion nightmare, and my introduction into Portraiture in Photography

So with that said, I have included some photos for you to visually see fragments of my current life.

We were to meet at the MOMA, to which i arrived 30min late, after transportation and what not.

Last Weekend

Maria Cortes came over to visit me!!! How exciting! ha ha. She came over Friday afternoon and left Sunday night. We watched about 4 movies... technically (we saw G.I. Joes, Transformers 2, and finished Inglorious Basterds together, but she fell asleep for District 9, and Hero. ha ha). We also went to China Town (Canal St.) and Madison Sq. Park for her art projects, and along each destination I acquired something awesome. Along the way to Madison, I came across a Wicker Basket/Box that now serves as a Hamper for Laundry, and I bought me and Maria some neat turtle necklaces at Chinatown. We also went thrift store shopping, where I got myself some purple jeans and a Black/White Sweater. :)

This Week

is going to be CRAZY! I have training all week, on top of classes! but I'll make it work, i just have to cut down on the slack. You understand me! ha ha
